With some members of the team calling for the resignation of the captain, who once again put in a poor performance losing both games! with also the team selection coming into question. well with only two games left to play will there be enough time for The Great Harry to slip up and The Railway Club Boys to take advantage!

The Railway Club Boys get back to winning ways with a superb victory over The Leather Bottle. They won 3-0 on sets and an almost whitewash winning 14-1 on frames. So the big question i know your asking, Is who was the one to let the side down and lose the only game.........yes you guessed it our own captain marvel Mr Redout. Surely that has to make the papers!!!

Once again The Railway Club Boys suffer from the middle set blues and lose the match against The Bellgrove Social Club 2-1 on sets! After taking the first set it was looking good untill they lost the second set again in a match! Then in a dissapointing start in the 3rd set going 2-0 down Alan made a good 8 ball clearance to make it 2-1 but unfortunately Tommy was unable to tie the set and The bellgrove take the win, this now leaves The Railway Club Boys in second place in the league, trailing the league leaders and arch rivals The Great Harry by 4 points!!!

The Railway Club Boys battle through a tough game at home to The Blue Anchor to take the win 2-1 on sets, It started off quite well after Darren lost the first frame but the team won the next four to win the first set 4-1. The second set was all about the Blue Anchor who got revenge by winning the second set also 4-1. BUt once again the boys pulled it around again by taking the final set also 4-1, it must be an omen, so im backing spain to beat the dirty germans 4-1 in the EURO 08 final!!!!

After the lights going out on our first attempt against The Great Harry it was time for the rescheduled match to take place!! It was pretty much business as usual after The Railway Club Boys secure the first set with ease and only losing 1 frame in that set. But then the tables turned with The Great Harry storming back to take the second set and securing the point they needed to stay top of the league. But in the third set The Railway Club Boys bounced back taking a 3-0 lead on frames in that set to secure the win and leave them just 1 point behind the league leaders. Then that was it for the night as everybody shot off home to get an early night so they could wake up nice and early too see Jasons performance on The Jeremy Kyle Show!!! and for all those that missed it dont worry they will soon be putting it up on itv.com/jeremykyle  !!!

The Railway Club Boys get back too winning ways in the SLKPA Tier 2 East league after a 2-1 on sets away win at The Eagle Tavern. But what has happened to the form of the captain steve, although he has been having a very poor season, after forgetting how to screw back off a white ball, he then goes and gets beat twice on the night by a woman. (thats on the pool table by the way)

Another trophy goes to Darren and Jason for the Ivor Thomas Doubles Knockout, after a very convincing 2-0 victory over our arch rivals from The Great Harry, Moppy & Pinkie, Unfortunately Darren, Tommy & Steve couldnt find the form to also secure the Ivor Thomas Trebles Knockout after losing in the final.

5th June 08

Tonights game was at  home against The Great Harry in the battle for top spot in The SLKPA Tier 2 East, after taking a 2-1 lead in the first set The Railway Club Boys only needed one more frame to take the first set! Then the venue was left in total darkness as a power cut in Slade Green halted proceedings. Was it Sabotage......thinking about it a couple of opposition was not there at the time!!!!!

 3rd June 08

Two tournaments were played tonight the first was The Ivor Thomas Team Knockout Final between The Railway Club Boys and The Belverdere Social Club, and the second being the Karen Bell Memorial Trophy, Darren And Phil were to play in both matches. The Team Knockout was a very closes contended battle with no team gaining no more than a 1 frame lead at any time untill it was down to 4-4 and the all important decider, But it had to be put on hold there as Phil was still competeing in The Karen Bell, so we all headed down to find him 2-0 behind in the final, Amazingly with all the extra crowd and pressure phil managed to win the next 3 games with a superb clearance in the last to clinch the title for the first time in his career!

But there was no time to celebrate he had another tournament to win, so it was back up for the final frame of doubles with Alan and Phil needing a win to bring the trophy home for The Railway Club Boys!!

It was tense.....Alan won the toss and broke off......it was a superb split but nothing dropped....the opposition potted 2 yellows then missed one to the middle.......up stepped Superman Phil full of kryptonite to make a excellent 8 ball clearance and win the match!!! What a night for Phil.

Congratulations to The Railway Club Boys for there amazing trophy haul this season!!!!!!

The Railway Club Boys slump to there first defeat in the SLKPA after losing 2-1 on sets away to Who'd Of Thought It, but winning on frames 8-7. there were many excuses for there dimise like the table was crap, there wasn't enough room, they got lucky and they was too loud and putting us off. but really the team didnt play as we have done in previous matches. The best excuse of the night had to go to Jason after he was unable to play the last frame in the match because he had to leave early to make another star appearance on The Jeremy Kyle Show!!!

27th May 08

The Railway Club Boys storm to the top of the SLKPA Tier 2 east league with a very convincing 3-0 on sets victory over The Leather Bottle, the opposistion only picked up 3 frames in the match with Alan, Phil, Darren, Jason and Mark winning both there frames, but the star of the match had to be awarded to Mark after only playing in his second match under world rules, completed a superb 8 ball clearance and this was all done whilst limping around the table with a broken leg.

20th May 08

The Railway Club Boys win a close hard fought battle against The Crayford Social Club to clinch there place in this years Ivor Thomas Team Knockout Final. The singles games were all very close games that could of gone to either team, with Jason, Steve and Tommy losing and Darren, Alan and Phil winning the match was tied at 3-3 going into the doubles.

Darren and Steve lost there doubles in another close game leaving The Railway Club Boys trailing for the first time in the match 3-4. Fortunately Jason And Tommy managed to tie the match again at 4-4.

So it was down to Alan and Phil to try and clinch it again for the team, as they have done in many games this season. this was probably the longest frame in the match and after a long tactical battle Phil played a excellent snooker, after failing to get out of the snooker the opposistion un-sportingly knocked the black in with his hand and gave The Railway Club Boys the victory they deserved.

15th May 08

The Railway Club Boys demolish The Pheasant 3-0 on sets and 13-2 on frames, it could of been a whitewash if Jason had'nt potted the black in bizzare fashion and darren didnt fanny about with his last game and he calls himself an ex county player!!!

Well looks like tommys kick up the arse worked because amazingly he won all 3 of his games! Was it the fact that he wasnt drinking?  No must of just been poor opposition!!

Lets hope the team play well on tuesday as it is the semi-final of the Ivor Thomas Team Knockout against the Crayford Social Club, the match will be played at The Belverdere Social Club, all spectators welcome!

13th May 08

Darren, Steve and Tommy have made it through to the Ivor Thomas Triples final after completing a 5-2 victory over Steve, Mark and Burt from The Halfway House, Darren was the star player of the night winning all 3 of his games, tommy won 2 games and not so super captain steve lost all his, Can the boys win the final in a couple of weeks?

8th May 08

The Railway Club Boys play there first ever match under world rules, For the SLKPA tier 2 East League. Our opponents were from The Bellgrove Social Club and we have to thank them for their help and patience with us learning the new world rules.

We got off to a flying start winning the set 5-0. after a few tense 'anyone can win games' we won the second set 3-2. It was just the start we dreamed of, a 2-0 lead on sets could we make it 3-0?

Up steps Steve H and finally after a mistake by the opposition he wins the frame, then comes tommys frame, well after having a major boozing session we was amazed that he could actually stand let alone play pool, and yes you guessed it he lost. 'will he be dropped from the team next week?'

With the last set being drawn at 2-2 could superman phil come to the rescue and win the last frame for the set? NO we thinks he needs some more Kryptonite!!

Well not a bad start to the league just hope we can win the next match against the Pheasant.

and for those of you that does'nt know phil he looks like superman when he wears glasses.
